I actually have a small Vaio Netbook,as you can imagine I do a lot of work on it, which in return over heats. I usually have my Laptop propped up on my legs, and I also usually end up burning them too. If I don't burn my legs then I burn my pillow or sheets. No joke, sometimes I will actually start to smell my pillow burning after a while.
Another great aspect to the Xpad is that it is in no way electronic. It's simple really. All it does is lift your laptop up a little so the fans inside can work and cool it down. There is also an Xpad Slim, it is slightly thinner and can hold a laptop up to 17' while the regular Xpad can hold up to 15'.
When your laptop overheats it is really bad for your laptop. Actually when your laptop overheats it can freeze, randomly shut off, and worse.. Not turn back on. It's important to keep your laptop cool, and $24.95 is actually a very reasonable price. Especially when you consider... Hmm.. $25 now, or $300+ Later?
I love that the Xpad has rubber on the 4 lifts because if I were to resituate I wouldn't have to worry about my computer slipping off, with the rubber pads I can tilt my laptop and it won't even budge.
If you are a blogger or you have a laptop and your on it alot I would really consider getting an Xpad, in the long run it is worth it trust me.
Ohh! And this reminds me. 2 years ago I had an Acer laptop and it was always overheating, and unfotunatley that laptop does not work anymore. And I can honestly say that I believe it stopped working from the overheating.
Oh and 1 last thing! If you go to the Xpad website and decide you would like one, you may want to consider this promotion they have going on: When you buy 2 or more Xpad's you get an additional 20% off! Just use the code: (XPAD4LAPTOP)
-A BIG BIG Thank you to the wonderful people at the Xpad website for providing me with an Xpad, It is wonderful and I use it everyday!
