Hey everyone..
With all the problems my grandpas been having things have gotten a little crazy. Grandpa forgot to pay the electricity bill, and now we have no power until he gets back. Right now I'm at a McDonald's writing this.
Once grandpa comes home things will go back to normal.
Sorry everyone!
I will not be able to check my email for a few days, so if you send me an email I will get back to it ASAP.
I Just wanted to let you all know. I didn't forget about you guys! :)
Take Care everyone.

Goodness- with all thats going on and now no electricity!
ReplyDeleteThe one bright point is you live in Florida where there is a bit of warmth still- but it is a pain to have the power out.
Take care!!!!
I know exactly what you mean. I remember the last time I forgot to pay the electric bill. It was about 5 years ago and I was recently divorced. I didn't want anyone to know, so the kids and I went to a hotel. They thought it was fun and no one ever found out.

(((HUGS))) hope things go better for you soon. My prayers have been with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHang in there . . .
Such a bummer! I wonder if you could call the power company and let them know your circumstances, maybe they can help you out until your grandpa's back. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to "ditto" Tiffany D. because I was going to suggest that too!
ReplyDeleteHope things are better today..(?) Too much going on there - just keep yourself together and I agree with those who suggested calling the power co. They are supposed to have a heart! How is your grandpa doing? Any idea when he gets to come home? Hugs to you sweetie!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your power back on soon. Surely the electric company will be understanding, since I'm sure it's not a regular thing. With your grandpa having a lot of other things on his mind right now, it probably wouldn't hurt if you could find out the due dates for all the regular bills and keep your own calendar so you can double check with him about the payments. If he's going to be out of town a lot with his treatments, maybe he could put you on his account or set up a special account for bills so that you can write them out if he's not home. When my parents used to go out of town for weeks at a time, my dad would leave me some signed checks to pay the bills; he had a hiding place for them in case someone broke in and later they got a safe. After my dad died, my mom put me on her account, so if she's not home, I can just write and sign the checks myself. Another idea, one that my mom uses, is she'll pay enough on the water bill, for example, to cover three months, so she doesn't have to write a check every month. Not everyone is in a position to do that, but if your grandpa has enough income or savings to pay a couple of months ahead, it could help prevent something like this in the future. At least it's not too cold right now; in my part of Florida it's in the 40s at night, and we're piling on the blankets because we don't have central heat and we haven't fired up the gas furnace yet. All the best to you!
ReplyDeleteHoping to get an update soon........ thinking of ya!
