Last night my beautiful rat, Harry passed away.

On the 8th I was going to give the rats fresh water and food. Thats when I noticed it.. Harry was sick.. He wasn't walking right, and I could just tell. I took him out, and I held him.. I was up with him until 6am (the 9th) then I slept with him at my side to keep him warm. I woke up a 2pm, and I stayed with him non stop until about 3:30 am on the 10th. Right at about 3:00 Harry started compulsing. At about 3:15-3:30 He took his last breath.. I believe that he would have passed on the 9th if I hadn't taken him out and spent the entire day with him.. I kept him warm, and we reminisced. I will never forget him, and he will always be in my heart.

Harry passing away was the hardest thing for me.. He had been with me for so long..I really will never forget him.. 3 days ago I lost my hamster Murphy and yesterday I also lost 1 baby hairless rat, and Murphy's Hamster Girlfriend. Yesterday was one of the hardest days I've had to go through in a long time..

I know Harry is in a better place now... He lived a long full life, and I know, he knows, he was loved.
I will never forget your Harry. Rest in peace. Also, please look out for the little baby I lost yesterday.. He never had a chance to live.. And even though he didn't he was still loved. Keep an eye out for Murphy and his girl too. I can see it now.. All of you playing together.. Not just you 4.. But with all of my past ratties.. Like Luna, Nakie, Big Nakie, Jumbo Nakie, Hairy, Mom Rat and all of the others..

I will NEVER forget you; ever. YOU ARE SO LOVED! <3 And I know all of the other Ratties miss you too! We love you Harry!

You were so beautiful (The best model rat out there, I know you could have made it big!).. This is how you will be remembered, happy, chubby and cute! I love you so so much.. and I could write forever about how much I love you..

I LOVE YOU HARRY! GONE, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
You will live on forever in our hearts..

    Awww Amanada, so sorry you lost Harry. He really was a very cute thing & an excellent model for your pics.
    When he joins your other ratties at Rainbow Bridge, he will stay and be happy until one day he sees you again.

    Oh Amanda, I am so sorry! I know how much you loved him - if he could have talked, I think I could have talked with him as you told us so much about him. Losing a pet is so hard. Just know you gave him a good home, your love, the companionship of your other ratties and that he took those memories with him. My thoughts & prayers are with you, sweetie.

    So sorry Amanda...it is so hard to lose our beloved pets. You are right...you were there the whole time through his life AND at the end for comfort and warmth and love...just like with the others.

    I'm so sorry about the tremendous loss you have suffered in the past couple of days. One of the hardest thing about having the little critters in your family is that they age so much more quickly than we do. I saw on a nature special once that the smaller the animal is, the faster their little hearts beat, so they wear out faster. I know you will miss your special boy, Harry, and your other little ones.     I'm so sorry, the loss will be so hard for a while. I'm still mourning my beagle. I still sense she is here visiting once in a while. You're in my prayers. Your post was beautiful and heartfelt.
