Grandpa got his biopsy results.. The doctor told him without chemo, or without doing any kind of treatment.. that he'd have about 2-3 months.. With Chemo their not sure.. The problem is, is that they don't know if he'll be able to handle it. Since he's already in so much pain.. But they are going to go ahead and try to do 1 or 2 treatments, so they can see how he handles it.. hopefully he'll be able to handle it.. and hopefully that will make that 2 or 3 months longer...
This is really hard for me, and my entire family, and we are all still praying for a miracle.. please keep my grandpa in your prayers..
Love you Grandpa.. More then anything!
Aww hun, you and your family are in my prayers always.
ReplyDeleteGive Grandpa a huge hug! I am hoping hoping he stays pain free & can handle a couple rounds of chemo if they think it will keep him around for you all.
To love & be loved is the greatest gift of all, and I can tell your Grandpa is blessed having you all in his life.
HUGE hugs going out your way!
Hope your Grandpa feels ok and he is not in so much pain.
ReplyDeleteMy Grandma dies from cancer, I loved her so much, she was the greatest person I`ve ever known. I am named after her. It was awful seeing her in so much pain. She did not undergo any chemo treatments, because the doctors said she was too old and weak and she wouldn`t have been able to handle them.
So take care of your Grandpa and cherish every moment spent with him and tell him how much you love him.
HIGS!
I am so sorry. I hope your Grandpa can handle the treatments and that he isn't in so much pain. Cherish every moment your grandpa while you still have him. My prayers are with you and your family. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and your family! I sincerely hope the chemotherapy is well tolerated!
ReplyDeleteSorry :(
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your Grandpa. He is very lucky to have you supporting him.
ReplyDeleteYou are all in my prayers for sure! It is so hard to know about chemo. Some handle it well, but age and current health play a big factor in that. Maintaining quality of life, being able to be alert and active (hopefully without too much pain) are really important. More hugs and prayers for you all!

HI AManda...so sorry to hear Grandpa is having such a hard time. Pain is something that can really change you. I sure hope they are managing this for him so he can enjoy these days with his family.
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing kid and granddaughter to your family. You sound like you are all so close and not many families have that these days...everyone is so busy or out for themselves. Your grandpa knows his family is there for him and that is the biggest gift ever...time and love and support. But sometimes it's OK to stop being so strong and just cry with him, to talk about the fears and sadness and it often makes you feel better. Talking about this doesnt mean you are not being positive, it means you are dealing with the hard parts of life and is not easy. Am thinking of your family and will say prayers for you all.
