College bound..

(A Really nice little shell me and Aaron found on the beach)=

Sorry I've been a little late with telling all of you about this.. We have some company. My grandpa's son (my uncle) is here visiting, and we haven't seen them in a long time.

I am officially in College! I was going to go on June 27th.. But the classes were only for 6 weeks, and after talking to an adviser, we decided it would be better to wait until the first Fall class. So... August 23rd is the day! I already have all of my classes set. I'll be a full time student, but I am only going on Tuesday's and Thursday's; It'll be all day from like 12:30 to 7:30pm - long days, but I think it's better then going like M-F.

The only thing I have left to do is finish up with my financial aid. I've already submitted it, and now I just have to wait for the verification. Then I'll be set completely, and the only thing after that will be waiting until August 23rd :D!

I am still pretty nervous, but I feel much better now that it's all set.

  5. I just graduated and I am 49. I had a lot more sel-dicipline than I did when I was younger, so in some ways my age made it easier. I wish you all the best!

  6. After my freshman year of college I switch to mostly all tuesday - Thursday classes. Once in a while I had to take a class that met on mon/ we d/fri because it was the only time it was offered but most of the time I had Monday's Wednesday and Fridays free! Yes the two days you are in class are long but you are off every other day which helps you study and do homework. I don't know how financial aid works in your state but I was able to get a work study job where I was able to work on campus for minimum wage and it could either go towards my bill or they would give me a check each month. I worked in the movie rental place on campus. It was a small office basically and people could rent movies for free if they showed their student Id cards. It was super easy plus I was able to do my homework and watch movies. I also worked in one of the department offices for a year. It was from like 3-6 after the real secretary left. I just took messages, made copies if the professors needed it but mostly sat there and did homework.
