College bound..

(A Really nice little shell me and Aaron found on the beach)=

Sorry I've been a little late with telling all of you about this.. We have some company. My grandpa's son (my uncle) is here visiting, and we haven't seen them in a long time.

I am officially in College! I was going to go on June 27th.. But the classes were only for 6 weeks, and after talking to an adviser, we decided it would be better to wait until the first Fall class. So... August 23rd is the day! I already have all of my classes set. I'll be a full time student, but I am only going on Tuesday's and Thursday's; It'll be all day from like 12:30 to 7:30pm - long days, but I think it's better then going like M-F.

The only thing I have left to do is finish up with my financial aid. I've already submitted it, and now I just have to wait for the verification. Then I'll be set completely, and the only thing after that will be waiting until August 23rd :D!

I am still pretty nervous, but I feel much better now that it's all set.

  1. You're gonna do great.. after the first day jitters it is a piece of cake.

Ahd hey, you have alot of followers now, so just think- we can help ya with homework :P

Have a great Fathers Day today!

  2. HAHA! That would be amazing. I definitely think I'm gonna have to get a tutor though :p

  3. I just wanted to invite you to my link party that runs Friday evening through Sunday. You can link main blog URls, Etsy, Twitter, facebook, give aways, recipes, and crafts!

    Have fun in school.

  4. Thanks for stopping by the Tiki Hut. I have also put in for my financial aid and am waiting to find out about going to school. Can you believe it? I'm almost 54. But it's what I want to do. Hope you have a great Dad's Day. And thanks for following. I'm your newest too !

  5. I just graduated and I am 49. I had a lot more sel-dicipline than I did when I was younger, so in some ways my age made it easier. I wish you all the best!

  6. After my freshman year of college I switch to mostly all tuesday - Thursday classes. Once in a while I had to take a class that met on mon/ we d/fri because it was the only time it was offered but most of the time I had Monday's Wednesday and Fridays free! Yes the two days you are in class are long but you are off every other day which helps you study and do homework. I don't know how financial aid works in your state but I was able to get a work study job where I was able to work on campus for minimum wage and it could either go towards my bill or they would give me a check each month. I worked in the movie rental place on campus. It was a small office basically and people could rent movies for free if they showed their student Id cards. It was super easy plus I was able to do my homework and watch movies. I also worked in one of the department offices for a year. It was from like 3-6 after the real secretary left. I just took messages, made copies if the professors needed it but mostly sat there and did homework.

  7. Thanks for participating in the Planet Weidknecht Sunday Hop! I hope you will come join us again next Sunday. ~Lisa

  8. That's great news!! Since your classes don't start till the end of August, you can still enjoy summer and relax before starting school.
I don't know how much help i would be on homework but i would try haha:)
