Thing's aren't looking very good for Grandpa..

Hey everyone...

I just wanted to give you all an update on grandpa.
Last week grandpa went to the Doctor and found out he had fluid in his lungs...  and they told him the fluid was so thick that they wouldn't be able to do anything for it.
Well yesterday morning grandpa was unable to breathe, so grandma rushed him to the hospital, and he's been there since.

Well when they were in the waiting room, I guess grandpa drank some coffee, and he started choking really really bad, and they didn't even think he was going to make it through that.. Thankfully he did.

So once he got his own room, a few hours later they had a lung specialist come in to check him out. Well, it turns out that his lungs weren't the reason he couldn't breathe. It turns out that it's his heart.. :'(
So tomorrow a heart specialist is going to go in to see him, and hopefully he'll be able to do something..

Here's the worst part of the news though...
The Doctor said if they can't do anything.. then it's not looking good.. and he doesn't think grandpa will have much longer.

As you can all imagine.. I want to spend as much time as possible with him..Just incase, so we've been up at the hospital a lot lately.. So I probably won't be on for the next couple of days.. IT all just depends on how things pan out.

    I am so sorry to hear that your grandpa is not doing well! I hope he is not in a lot of pain!Spend as much as time with him as you can! Hugs!

    Hugs hun.... they can do amazing things to get the fluids out- keep up hope.

    Spend as much time away as you need to, it's not like the internet won't be around when you get back.

    I am so sorry for what your grandpa and the whole family is going through. It is hard when one of our loved ones is ill. Try to keep good thoughts and when all you want to do is cry, think about happy memories with him. That is what got me through my grandfather's illness. He's been gone 5 years now and I still miss him greatly.

    I'm so sorry, I know what you're going through. I'm extremely close to my grandpa. What you're describing sounds almost exactly what my grandpa went through, but he went to doctors in Santa Barbara and now he's much better. You might want to look into different doctors. Anyway, my thought are with you and your family.

    Oh so sorry to hear things are not good. I have been vacant a lot from the computer the past couple of months and sorry to came back to hear this. Hope Grandpa had a comfortable weekend and they were about to get some of the fluid drained anyway. Spend all the time you can with the family kiddo, we are all thinking of you. Biggest of hugs.
