2 Months Before Grandpa passed away..

Wow.

I was looking through these pictures today.. and I can't believe these were taken only in May. He was so week, but we had so much family visiting, and he stayed strong for all of them. I'm so proud to have been his granddaughter.

Here are some amazing, very happy photos of grandpa :) (I tear up looking at them :'( )

My grandpa with my Aunt Loretta (She's 93, and used to be a famous Opera Singer :) )

My grandpa and cousin Jeramiah showing off their muscles :p

My grandpa, Aunt Loretta, Grandma and 2 of his sisters.

So many happy memories :( But right now even happy memories are tough to think about :(

I love you grandpa, and I miss you every single day.

I also wanted to let you all know, I am going to be updating some of the blog. For instance, the family and pets section, the grandpa section, etc. So feel free to look for updates :).

  2. I am so very sorry for your loss. My Dad's father died when I was 13 and my Mom's father died when I was 20, so I have been without a grandfather for nearly 10 years now. One died from bone cancer, and the other from diabetes. They were both taken too soon for their time. I have very many fond memories of both of them. I think of them quite often and still miss them terribly each and every day. Cherish these photos, your grandfather looks SO happy in them! Always remember him that way.

  3. Amanda, he looks like he was such a fun and happy grandpa. I am so sorry for your loss. It is wonderful you have such great memories and photos. I know looking at them and remembering even the best memories are hard right now. I went through that when my Mem Mem died 9 years ago. She was like my mother and it was extremely hard on me. Time does heal all---i still cry but it isn't nearly as painful. Hang in there honey :)
