Wordy Wednesday: Trip to Manasota - Our Sharks Teeth!

Me and Aaron recently took a trip to Manasota Key Florida!

We had so much fun! Early beach days (The day the above picture was taken it was about 7:10 am, on the day of a cold front - and let me say.. It was freezing! I was literally wrapped in our beach blanket until like 9 or 10 am!

It warmed up eventually, and we found a lot of sharks teeth! Manasota is known for it's sharks teeth! We found a few on the actual beach - But most of them we used a shell bag to find in the ocean. We went out to the shell crush that was in the water and scooped tons and tons of shells!

I've heard of other people finding more, but I am pretty happy with the amount of Sharks Teeth we found!

On the left is the shark teeth we found that are whole, or almost whole. And on the right are the partial teeth:

Here is a closer picture of the mostly whole pieces:
And here is a close up of the partials:
I also took pictures of the biggest and smallest teeth we found.

The biggest:
And the smallest! It's soo tiny! I took a picture of it on my pinky ^.^
And that's it for sharks teeth! We had a blast finding them, and I hope to go again soon!

While there I also got quite the sunburn :( - Which surprises me, because I used a ton of sun block!

Luckily my burns tend to fade fairly quickly - and hopefully it'll be gone soon!

  5. That's quite a few shark's teeth. My boys would be over the moon if they found some like you did. Someday, if we go to Florida, I'll make it a priority to do just that.
