If you have been following my blog for a while, then you might remember, I did a blog review of her other book "The Magic Warble back in September of 2010. I was so impressed with the first book (If you haven't read The Magic Warble yet, I really recommend checking it out. You can see a little more about it in my old review.) that I just couldn't wait to read the continuation of it!
If you haven't read The Magic Warble yet, I would really recommend checking that out, before reading The Black Shard. If you just came right into the new book, you might not really understand some of the characters, or the settings.

"Kristina’s stay at summer horse camp is horrible to say the least, and it’s all because Hester and Davina are there as well, making her life miserable. I really enjoyed the book. My favorite part, was the development of characters. Just by looking at the comparison of the first book cover to the second, you can see that the characters have aged, and it just makes a better mental image for the entire book.
The Magic Warble, and The Black Shard are both great! The stories are filled with magic, and fairytale, and are great for anyone.. teens, or adults! Give the gift of a great book this year! :)
