It's hard to believe.. But another one of my ratties passed away tonight.
His name was Dan - He was an extremely healthy rat, and he was only 2 years old. It came out of nowhere, and was a complete shock to me.
He had shown no signs of being sick, or I would have taken him to the vet. I went out there to play with them all tonight, and he was just lying there, gone..
This is the only bad part about owning rats.. They just don't live long enough lives.
I love you so much Dan, and we will miss you.
RIP DAN.
So sorry for the loss of your pet hun!

Amanda I am so sorry about losing your little buddy. My heart goes out to you.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not fan of rats, a pet is a pet, and its loss is always difficult. My condolences
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your loss! Truth is I never cared much for rats, but the more I read of your posts about them, the more I come to love them! <3 I started sympathizing when Carlos passed away in April. Bear in mind that this comes from someone who never owned pets and thus never got emotionally attached to any kind of animal. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Dan ((HUG))
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're having such a hard time lately, losing so many of your little ones. I was lucky that my pet rat Templeton and one of my mice, Spectacle, both lived over 3 years, but my other mice died younger, two from health issues and one from an accident. The same thing happens with people and other pets. In 2005, we lost one of our youngest cats, just over 4 years old, to a heart attack, and my two old cats (age 18, kidney failure; and 19 yrs, 10 months, old age). No matter how long you have them with you, it is never enough, and sometimes there's nothing you can do to save them. ((hugs)) It's hard, but being a pet mommy has so many other benefits, it makes it worth it.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about you loosing your sweet pet. It is hard no matter what. I know you love them so. Ask a vet what he thinks happened just to see what they say. Take care, Hugs, Rita rjspratlen@gmail.com
