Thanks to Lip-Ink International for providing me with free Lip-Ink to review.
Lip-Ink International is a company that has a revolutionary product - Rather than just applying a rub off color onto your lips, you are actually putting on a semi-permanent ink (Don't worry it comes off with the off towelette) so when you take a drink or kiss someone, your color isn't coming off. It's great because you can apply your lip cosmetics without having to worry about it anymore for the rest of the night.
Recently I received a couple Trial Kits to try out.
The trial kits come with everything you need for the quick 3 step process, including the Lip-Ink Color, the shine moisturizer, and the off towelette.
The process was pretty simple. First put a little of the shine moisturizer on (I like the way the moisturizer looked on alone, actually, lol)
Then you apply the Lip-Ink Color, and then put a little more of the shine moisturizer on:
And then your lips are ready!
I really liked the results. The only few little negative things I'd have to say is that when you first put on the lip-ink color you feel an immense burning in your lips - but that fortunately goes away after about 20 seconds or so. Also, after your removal of the ink, you use the towelette, which I found to leave a not pleasant taste on my lips (but the taste pretty much fades away after a little while.)
And the other thing was actually the color of one of mine. I received 2 colors (The Coral and the Nude) and I loved the nude, but the coral (the one pictured above) just came out much more orangey than I had expected. The website said about 50% pink and 50% orange. I based my choice off of the color portrayed for the coral though, and it was just much more orangey then the picture had depicted.
The color on the website (as you can see from the color swab above) is much more pink than the actual product. I did however still find the coral quite classy, but it just wasn't what I had expected.
I really loved my nude color like I said, and I love the entire concept of Lip-Ink.

Very cool, I hate having to reapply.

ReplyDeletevery nice - you have pretty lips Amanda! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a product. Lip blotting with a tissue doesn't work that well.
ReplyDeleteI am trying this! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI rarely wear lipstick/gloss and almost always forget to reapply when I do. The Lip Ink is probably the answer to my reapplication forgetfulness. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI really like the colors you picked! Thanks for sharing!
