Thanks to Gourmac for providing me with free snack containers to review!
One thing I love in a product, is convenience. There is nothing better than having an awesome product that can help save time, or make life a bit easier.
And before I get started on my review for Gourmac, I just wanted to tell you about something I thought was a bit funny. Before contacting a company to see if they want to partner up for a review or giveaway, I always scope out there products, to make sure they'd be a good fit for my blog. Well, sometimes when I do that, I get to looking at there different products, and often times, I find myself wanting certain products. Well, like I always do, I was scoping out Gourmac, and the first thing that caught my mind were both the Carrot and Grape "To-Go" containers.
I had only thought about purchasing the at least one of the containers, and I kid you not, I had there page bookmarked.
Not too long after I contacted them though, I got a reply. And believe it or not, they suggested, for the review, for me to pick 2 of 4 of the snack to-go containers. I thought, how perfect! There were 2, that I really wanted :)!!
So without even really having to think about it, I told them I wanted the Grapes To-Go container, and the Carrots To-Go container.
See, I eat pretty healthy now, and well to be honest, eating healthy on the go can sometimes be a challenge. So I really saw the solution in these. 2 of my go to health snacks are grapes (frozen) and carrots, so like I said, these couldn't be any more perfect.
My favorite of the 2, was probably the carrot container.
First off, you have to take notice that a giant carrot, is just adorable. I mean, if I was going to lunch, and I was carrying a giant carrot with me.. Come on - It doesn't get any cuter than that :)
The thing that made the carrot container just slightly better for me though, was that it actually had two different compartments. The bottom half (which is the bigger portion) can hold all of your carrots, and then the smaller top portion can hold a dip - I've always hated bringing dips, because they always spill, or they're just awkward to package and carry around. But the carrots to go container snaps neatly together, forming the giant carrot, which stores both your carrots, and your carrot dip.
The sizing for the carrot container is just right, too. The amount that fits into the container is about the typical portion of carrots (and hummus) I would have.
And don't get me wrong - The grape container is just as awesome.
It stores a reasonable portion of grapes, and is perfect for on the go occasions.
I am constantly eating frozen grapes, and normally put them into a plastic bag, or I just grab a handful. By the time I finish them all, my grapes have usually thawed out, and are no longer frozen, which is the way I enjoy them best. I've found that keeping them in the container (because I eat them slow, so I can savor the slush of the frozen grape.) with the lid on, prolongs the time frame that they stay frozen. So it's really a huge win.
And even though the containers are shaped like grapes and carrots, you can put anything you'd like inside, and conveniently carry them around, wherever you go. If you aren't a grape or carrot type of person, Gourmac also has a celery & dip to go, apples & dip to go, and even a kiwi to go container.
They also care a great line of food savers, which are shaped like different foods. Like the grapefruit saver, garlic saver, and they have a few other savers too.
I can't wait until I get a new job, so I can start packing my lunch :)!!
Overall, I really like the Gourmac to go containers, and I would definitely recommend them. For only $5.99 each, you can't really go wrong.
