Thanks to Julia E. Dean for providing me with a free mug to review.
I don't know how many of you know this about me, but I actually did some pottery work myself, a few years back. I know just how fun it can be, and how calming, as well. I also know just how much work and love is put into every single piece you make.
I've made about 10 pieces of my own, and I cherish every single one - Julia E. Dean, makes hundreds, and I can only imagine the time and effort she puts into each piece, and then how hard it is to let them all go.
Thankfully, Julia loves sharing her work with everyone! That's why she has a really nice selection of her pieces on her Etsy shop.
Julia let me pick a piece to review, and even offered some suggestions, based on her best selling pieces. Based on her suggestion, I ended up going with a really beautiful mug, called the Rustic Woodland Mug:
imprints them right onto the mugs, giving them "rustic," natural look.
This also ensures that every mug is unique in it's own way. You'll never find 2 of the same leaves - So never expect to find 2 of the same Woodland mugs :).
Another thing I really appreciate is the unique shape of the mug. See, my mom actually has a HUGE mug collection. She has all different colors, shapes, and sizes, but she didn't have anything quite like the Woodland mug.
And actually, my moms birthday was coming up soon, so I gave her the mug as an early gift. She loves it, and she loves even more that it's microwave safe!
The inside of the mug is also really beautiful - Julia E. Dean's pieces are beautiful inside, and out :)
