Thanks to Marina for providing me with a Chocolate Sacrum to review.
Cannibal Confections used to just feature chocolate skulls, but soon, will be featuring several other body parts - Including the sacrum, that I reviewed.
I'm a little "out of the box." I like all sorts of things. And actually, a few of my friends call me "eclectic." At first I didn't accept that title, but one day, when I was cleaning, I took a look around at all the different things I had, and I came to the conclusion that they were right.
Now I embrace that - It's a part of who I am.
Anyway, back to the sacrum. These chocolate body parts are actually hand crafted by a really great lady, named Marina. Marina literally spends hours and hours on every single piece she makes. If you take a look, you can actually see how detail oriented the pieces are. The sacrum I received seriously looks like a real sacrum.
I for one, don't like receiving boxes of chocolates as a gift - It always seems so insincere. But a chocolate body part? That takes some thought! Not everyone would think of that - I personally would be ecstatic to receive a chocolate body part. It's such a unique gift idea.
The only thing that I disliked is that I didn't want to eat the chocolate body part. It's a piece of art, and I just had a hard time breaking pieces off to eat. However, I did end up eating some, and it was delicious.
If you want to give a special gift, that someone will remember forever, consider Chocolate Skulls. They definitely make a statement, and definitely make a great gift!

Wow, I'm not sure how I feel about chocolate bones. Never heard of it before, and definitely a shock factor. But I can definitely see a lot of my friends totally getting into it and having fun with it.
ReplyDeletewhat a unique gift to give someone, i love how different it is :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect gift for Easter!! Now I want to go out and buy some!
ReplyDeleteVery unique gift. I had never heard of them thanks.
ReplyDeleteI never dreamed I'd read a review about chocolate bones, but here it is. Very eclectic gift idea.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing what they can do with chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI think this would be the perfect gift for my sister-in-law. Her birthday is April 1.
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate, but these seem a bit too creepy to me!
ReplyDeleteWow.. this is pretty cool. I love it. Unfortunately I don't have $500 for a chocolate skull. lol
ReplyDeleteThis is really unique! This would be great for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! I thin it'd be so perfect for Halloween/Day of the Dead!
ReplyDeleteYou know, if it *looked* like chocolate, rich dark chocolate, it wouldn't be as creepy. These would make great snacks for the actors playing zombies in a horror movie.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! Great gag gift for someone!
ReplyDeleteOk, this is just weird to me, but then I got to thinking about it, and it might be fun to use in class at school when learning about the body parts...and then the kids could eat it. But, then again that might be a bit too weird for kids! ha ha!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing! They look so realistic, and it's so neat they're handmade
ReplyDeleteThis would be a unique gift to give to someone - but make sure the person enjoys the gruesome!!
ReplyDeleteThat is REALLY cool!! I would totally try that and they look so real it is amazing that they are chocolate!! I would have a hard time eating any of it!! The skull is really awesome too!!
ReplyDeleteOh would my kids get into this. They would love to get a chocolate body part. I would too, but I would have to eat it'
ReplyDeleteShe's a very talented artist for sure. I've never heard of them before . But what a great gift for the person who has everything. :)

I don't think that receiving a box of chocolates is insincere. It depends on the box and what the person knows about your tastes. This is a different chocolate gift and you would have to be sure the person receiving it would appreciate the humor/uniqueness
ReplyDeletevery cool love it
ReplyDeleteVery unique I would want to get the whole body :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, you'd have to have a whole fridge for it!
DeleteThese are unbelievably amazing! I would love a skull and/or any bone. I am a huge fan of the horror genre. My mom is also a fan and she'd go nuts for one as a gift-great review-thank you! ~Raine~
ReplyDeleteWow, these are pretty cool! They'd make such an unforgettable gift!
ReplyDeleteI have seen these before.. I think they are very awesome and creative. I couldn't afford to get one personally but if you have the money and want a unique gift for someone this is definitely a one of a kind!
