I'm pretty sure you've probably heard of "Green Giant." It's a brand that I grew up with, and one that I could recognize almost instantly - From the catchy song, to the Green Giant himself.
Having been a consumer of Green Giant for so long, I was really excited to see them branch out a little bit. That's right - It's not just veggies anymore. The Green Giant has a brand new product on the shelf... Veggie snacks!
I am a huge "snacker," and trust me - I'm pretty picky. If I'm taking in calories, it's going to be on something delicious. Seeing that these are "veggie" snacks, I was a little skeptical. These tasted just like regular chips though!
I received 2 different flavors. The Multigrain Sweet Potato Barbecue Chips, and the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Garden Ranch Chips.
I'm not the biggest sweet potato fan (well it depends really.) At least when it comes to chips. They also tend to go a little to far into the sweet side for me, but surprisingly, the Sweet Potato Barbecue chips were very mild. They had little sweetness, but delicious BBQ taste to them. We can never get Aaron to eat anything "Sweet Potato" but he loved these! (as you can see, below.)
Another thing I liked about the barbecue flavor, was the texture of the chip. I thought it would be really hard, but they were light and flaky, and broke easily in my mouth (I have sensitive teeth, and those chips that are too hard just don't work for me.)
Now to the Garden Ranch. I am going to start off by saying this: I LOVE THEM.
Do you remember as a kid (Or if your like me, currently, lol) when you got a bag of chips, and you always looked through the bag, trying to find the chips with the most visible flavor? Well, with the Garden Ranch chips - They were all loaded with flavor!
The Green Giant Veggie Snacks are definitely a great addition to the Green Giant family, in my opinion. I've already seen them on the shelves in my local store, and I am planning on picking up another flavor very soon.
