I recently stumbled onto a candle shop, that I was just wowed by. I had honestly never thought much about different types of candles - I mean, of course I've thought of different scents and such, but a candle with a literal twist? Never crossed my mind. That was, until I saw Spiral Light Candles.
So - What makes these candles unique, is the "spiral" wick inside. The top half of the candle, literally has a wick that goes around the candle, in a spiral.
It's fun to watch it burn, because the candle kind-of crumbles down, and melts. The spiral portion on the small candle, does burn pretty fast, but that's because it's hollow. Down below, you have a wood wick. Once the wax starts melting from burning the spiral wick, the wax flows down onto the wood wick - So once you're about half way through, you have a full new candle to burn!
Now, I don't know if you've ever had a candle with a wooden wick - But this alone is a plus. Wooden wicks actually last a lot longer, plus, they just have a cool wood burning scent, when they start to burn.
And speaking of scents - The candle that I received was the "Tropical Sunset" and I just couldn't believe how strong it was. The candle itself smelled amazing, and I thought as soon as I burnt it, that would be it, and it wouldn't give off that much aroma for the room. I was so wrong! Even though my candle was a small candle, the entire room filled with the tropical scent.
I love the uniqueness of Spiral Light Candles, and I love the scent that just fills the room!

ReplyDeleteI love candles! I have to say that I have always wondered about the ones with the wooded wicks, if they actually did burn longer than regular candles. I was afraid to spend the money to try one, so thanks for doing it for me!

ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of candles and when I can, I try to light them. I have a son with special needs who is afraid of the flames, so I don't get to light them often.

ReplyDeleteThis is soooo bad for my OCD ;) I used to love to dip my fingers in wax and push the sides of the candles in on itself when I was little. I would spend hours staring at these burning lol.
ReplyDeleteIt would be really cool to have a row of these on mantel! That is such a neat thing to do.
