Golden Tote Clothing Review!

I'm a little bit obsessed with clothing (Seriously - I have a walk in closet, and it is  FULL.) My style is constantly changing - Floral, edgy, boho, geometric.. I have a little bit of it all. So when I heard about Golden Tote, I knew this was a service I had to try out.

See, Golden Tote is a sort-of subscription service, but it's different. They offer three types of "totes." A $49 tote, which allows you to pick one item of your choice, and then you also get one "surprise" item. Then they also have a $149 tote, which allows you to pick 2 items of your choice, and then gives you 3-4 more surprise pieces, in your tote. Or if you're very adventurous, they have a surprise tote for $99, which will give you 4 randomly selected pieces.

After you pick which tote you like, you then take a style quiz, so the stylist can pick your "surprise" items, and make sure they fit your style preference.

For my review, I received the $149 tote. So I was able to pick two items of my own choice, and then I also received 4 additional pieces.

As most of you know, I'm pregnant. So for my review, I stuck with my usual size, which is large. Unfortunately, being 23 weeks pregnant, not everything fits me like it normally would.
The two pieces I chose myself, were both dresses. They are so cute.

The first was the "Farmers Market Shift Dress" which they actually have available in blue, and fuchsia. I opted for the blue.

 

Isn't this dress adorable? I was so hoping it would fit, but right now, nothing fits right on my bust. It was so tight in that area, I was barely able to pull it down - And once I got it on, it was so tight I could barely move.
I really cannot wait until I have the baby, so I can actually wear it, in comfort.

The second dress I chose was the "Cool Contrast Dress." I absolutely LOVE this dress. Everything about it.

I would buy this dress in an instant. It's so smooth and it just flows. This dress had a little bit more stretch to it, but the top part actually has buttons that run down it, and again with my bust - It just wasn't fitting. The buttons were popping open. I know that this dress is going to be one of my favorites. I don't own too many dresses - So I am happy to have this one added to my small collection.


Then my surprise items. It's really almost hard to believe that these are surprise items, because the stylists really seem to have a good grasp on what you'd like, based on your style question answers. I was so surprised when I received my random items, because it actually almost seemed like I picked them myself. 3 out of the 4 items I received, I can see myself buying, if I came across them in a store.

The one that I probably wouldn't pick, was a tunic. I've never owned a tunic before, and I don't really know much about them.

It's definitely different. It has a cute shape, and I actually like the style/cut of it, for maternity wear (it just shows off the bump a little) the only problem is that it was actually just a little see through, which I'm not really fond of. With the Florida heat, I'm just really not fond of wearing undershirts. I think if I had received maybe a black one, it might be a little bit different.

Then I also received another dress. I was so happy with this one, because I can actually wear it!

It's super stretchy, and so comfortable. The arm holes are really really big, which I found different, but it just makes the dress really breezy. I also like the pattern on it! I'm just super excited to actually have a dress that I can wear, and feel comfortable in!

And my final two pieces, were actually both shirts.

My favorite of the two, was the THML Sailboat Shirt.

Not only does this shirt have a cute design, but it's also super comfy. It has big sleeves, and plenty of room for my tummy. The shirt is a little bit short, but it doesn't really bother me. This shirt is perfect for lounging around home, or wearing out anywhere, with a relaxed look.

And finally, the Fantastic Fawn Pocket Tee.

This shirt is so comfortable! It's extremely stretchy, and is made with a super light material. I can't even describe how hot it is this summer, and it's just a relief to have a nice, cool shirt, perfect for summer.

Overall, I love my selections. The stylists for Golden Tote really know what they're doing. If you don't like only one specific piece, you unfortunately can't return just one piece (It's all or nothing.) But they do have a Golden Tote Trading Group on Facebook, which helps you connect with people, to trade pieces. There are thousands of people in the group - So if you have something you don't like, you're sure to find a good piece to trade for, there.
